We stayed at Battle Creek Lodge two nights while in the area. Cine and Tam are wonderful hosts. Cine shared the history of the lodge with us and gave us tips on what to see and do in the area. Parking was easy right in front of the lodge. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed two nights of quiet, restful sleep. The homemade blueberry muffins were delicious as was the coffee and fresh fruit. If we ever return to the area, we will definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful and unique lodge. I love all the outdoor seating areas, the countryside views, and the exceptional hospitality! I really could just stay here forever. I definitely have never slept on a better bed and if I could have stuffed a couple of those luscious pillows in my suitcase, I would have. Great water pressure too! A+ accomodations. Don't stay anywhere else, IF they have availability, what a delightful time and place! Wonderful help with directions, sites, and places to go and dine. I'm going back!

We had a very nice stay at the Battle Creek Lodge recently. At first I was a little taken back by the location being right on the street, I guess I missed that in the photos on the internet. I was worried that it would be loud - it was not at all. This is a side street so the noise is very minimal, as opposed to those staying on the main drag of Keystone where it reminded me of an old Los Vegas strip with all of the stores, lights, etc. The room consisted of a king bed, TV, night stands, refrigerator with a microwave on top, and a coffee maker. There was no view out of our room as we were on the first floor, unsure of any views out of the 2nd floor rooms. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water in the shower, and the room was nicely appointed. I think what really makes this place clic

I am so happy we found this little lodge in the city of Keystone. Location was super convenient and right in the heart of the black hills. One of those small businesses that you find that is just almost perfect in every way. Price was right and room was clean and checked all the boxes. Had a very pleasant talk with one of the owners the next morning and she served us some of the best homemade blueberry scones I’ve ever had. My only regret is not staying more nights here.

I stayed in this hotel with my family last week and it was awesome. There is something different and more homey about a small and family owned business. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is going to Mount Rushmore or visiting Custer state park. Cine was amazing and gave my kids a cool history lesson about the place, that they are still talking about today... Not to mention the Homemade baked goodies. 10/10 would recommend!
