A brief stay of one night , as we toured the area. The room was clean and the location central, but not too noisy, with the most charming welcome. When we said we were going to the Mount Rushmore evening presentation, our host was kind enough to offer us rag towels to wipe the seats dry to the rain during the day. And she gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner, at the Powder House. Not a complaint, but a feature of an historic hotel - there is no elevator. Would gladly stay there again.

Nice cute, clean, cozy, homey feeling room. The very nice front desk clerk was very kind when I made the reservation, she just so happened to be the same person checking us in, she was extremely friendly and full of things to do and places to eat around the area. Very accommodating to my requests. Thank you so much for the great stay. Highly recommend this place.

Nice little hotel, great location. Shower has solid pressure but the head is best suited for those well below average height. Lobby is closed from 10pm to 7am, it be nice to be able to get coffee a bit earlier.

Clean room, nice linens, great desk clerk. Clean towels/rags for wiping down motorcycles & more. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again.||Note: open for summer only.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are dated, and the showers are quite small, but it worked as a place to rest after a long day of travel. The walls are extremely thin—I could clearly hear what our neighbors were up to late at night. It wasn’t the worst stay, but not the cleanest either. Overall, for the price and proximity to attractions, it was okay.
