Royal Sea Cliff Kona by Outrigger

Place is nice and clean. Perfect location, close to a lot of things but just far enough to avoid the traffic from keeping you from being able to leave. One caveat that wasn't really an issue for us was the internet. Wifi has a limited number of connections it can make at once and this place has more people there than connections it can make. So its chance if you'll be able to connect your devices to it. We didnt have reception anywhere but the living room, so this is a heads up. Amenities are nice, pools, hot tub, breakfast and coffee. I see some people talk about the bugs, we didnt have any in our room, but there are plenty outside. You're on a tropical island, if you dont want to see them, go somewhere cold.

Positive: Quiet pool, and location of resort Negative: My condo had an outdated look, bath fixtures (1950's look), with a shower head that needed replacing. The A/C smelled of mildew and mold. It made sick that I had to go sick medical care at Urgent Care. I mentioned this at front desk upon check out.

Our first trip to Kona. We actually stayed in a short term rental at this property, so I cannot comment on the service of the Wyndham resort. But I can offer a reflection on the property itself.||This location is about 1.8 miles from significant retail locations, so you are definitely going to want a car. But it is very quiet which is nice for relaxing. ||The facility is dated but seems to be in reasonably good shape. Public spaces are freshly painted and clean. The parking areas offered lots of space. ||It appears that the fountains that once ran down the center of the property are being redesigned.||There are two pools- a family pool and a quiet pool for adults. We stayed 8 days at this resort. The grounds and location are incredible. The pools are fantastic. All the staff very friendly. The room was rented through Coldwell Banker vacations, room 401, through booking.com. The room itself was great, lots of amenities provided such as beach chairs, floaties, snorkel gear, soaps, washer and dryer. No tv in the bedrooms which was a bummer. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. The biggest issue and why I can't rate higher is this particular room is directly over an air conditioning cooling unit located in the parking garage right under it. There was a constant annoying loud hum in the rooms, especially in the main bedroom and the living area. It was horrible. You could feel the vibration from it in the floor. Absolutely huge apartments at this resort! We loved our place; it was an apartment with two bedrooms, full living room with dining table, and full kitchen, with a big balcony and a table on the balcony for alfresco dining. The location of the resort is perfect! So easy to get everywhere. The pools overlook the ocean, and the sunsets are just incredible out there.
