Roosevelt Grand Dakota, SureStay Collection by Best Western

Hotel seemed nice at first, its went down hill quite fast. The room I was put in was on the first level and it was old and smelled like it. Their was a live electrical panel next to my door with no lock. After I shower the light switch in the bathroom would crackle like it was going to catch fire. The fridge didn't stay cold. Room service is non existant unless you request it. For the cost it wasn't worth it. The day I moved to a different hotel I found out I got Scabies from that hotel. I will not be ever staying there again. Considering calling a county inspector on them as many parts of the hotel were unsafe and disgusting.

Absolute worst experience I’ve had in a very long time. Irene and the rest of the staff have the absolutely worst customer service and quite disrespectful and have absolutely 0 accommodation to be honest!! Wish I would’ve read pretty much every other review which is my fault. all of them are one ⭐️ annd are %100 true!!! Absolutely disgusting customer service the lobby is trashy. People are even worse. I’m hoping to write this to prevent other paying customers from wasting there time as well as being completely disrespected as a CUSTOMER!!! Your trash Irene and so is you attitude.

Positive: "" Negative: A/C would cycle for less than a minute and then immediately cycle again. The clean filter light was on the a/c, so maybe that was the issue. We had 3 key cards and none of them would open the door the 1st time you inserted them. It usually took 5+ tries

The free continental breakfast was one of the few highlights of our stay -- it offered a good variety of quality options, and the dining area was quiet and comfortable. Unfortunately, the positives ended there. The front desk staff was very unfriendly and acted as though checking in or asking for anything was a major inconvenience. There was a noticeable lack of hospitality -- the kind of cold, dismissive attitude that makes guests feel like they're a bother rather than welcome. The rooms and commons areas were also in poor condition. The carpets were ripped, duct taped in several areas, and had visible bumps where they clearly needed to be restretched. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable stay. This place should be shut down. The pool was advertised as opening at 9 AM and was still locked well past that time — I had to track down staff and ask them to open it, which should not be my job as a paying guest. My room key stopped working in the middle of my stay, adding even more frustration. The staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. One employee I politely asked a question to in the hallway slammed a door in my face and snapped “go to the lobby.” That alone tells you everything you need to know about how guests are treated here. They had the nerve to say they were charging me for “wet sheets” from the pool, meanwhile the room itself was filthy.
