Customer Reviews
Our first stay at this location. Not a single complaint. Easy access. Friendly staff. Quiet. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. We definitely will stay again when we are in the area
We stayed here at the tail end of a family trip traveling in South and North Dakota. The Assistant General Manager, Matthew, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Even though we had forgotten to book a shuttle service for an early morning flight to the airport, he not only added us to the list but personally came back to drive us in the morning, even though I saw him working a very late shift the night before. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet; the location can’t be beat; and the exceptional customer service ensures that I wouldn’t stay anywhere else the next time I am in the area.
We stayed here for one night Exit 59. (Not many restaurants near by) I called ahead since we were running late to let them know. The front desk clerk was very nice. They had 24/7 hot coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fresh water. The room was like a suite it was so large, had a sitting area, desk full kitchen. Everything was clean and great. The hotel had a pool and gym which looked inviting. The breakfast was waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, bagels, toast, potatoes, yogurt. Wish they had fresh fruit like bananas, apples etc. Everything was clean!||If we stayed at Exit 61 (where we went first and eat at Applebee's) the hotels were closer to main restaurants and not fast food like Exit 59. Although Hawthorn Suites was beautiful!||Hotel near Medora, ND the road was under construction. We
Positive: It was a great stay! Negative: ""
We had a nice three day stay while visiting the Theodore Roosevelt State Park. Comfortable bed and pillows and a quiet A/C unit. Breakfast was pretty standard fare. We did find sand while taking a shower and I mentioned this upon checking out and the front desk said there was a problem with a business that was newly built and as a result sand was a by-product in the hotel's water system and that they were in the process of installing a water filtration system. Somehow I think there should have been a note placed in each of the rooms to let the guests know so that they did not drink the water. We typically drink bottled water anyway but others may not.
