To improve Start with cleaning the black mold off the bathroom window. Taking off and cleaning the stained toilet paper that is blocking the peephole on the door. Fix the door hole to the bathroom instead of taping it. Fixing the toilet as a continually ran. Fixing the toilet paper holder, so it doesn’t fall off the wall. The place is in a nice residential location. The way the hotel is set up, it makes it look like it is in a criminal area. It needs a major cleanup. It does not have coffee in the rooms, but then I wonder how clean it would be after seeing the rooms. The office was closed at 7 AM so I couldn’t get coffee there. Have more towels. There are two bath towels, one washcloth, and one hand towel for two people.

DO NOT STAY HERE. One of the worst Choice hotels I have stayed in for over 10 years! The floor was so filthy I could not walk barefoot in the room. The bedcover had a cigarette burn hole in it. The furniture was so old and stained, I had to place a towel on the desk chair to keep clean. The towels felt like sandpaper and the Wifi was so weak, it was better to set up a hotspot on my cell. And to top it off, when I tried to check out early due to a change in travel plans, they wouldn’t refund the night I didn’t stay there. This hotel should NOT be part of the Choice Hotels brand.

The room was in horribly condition. Stains on the walls, dirt all over the floor, feces in the toilet, the room smelled like a cigarette smoker had previously lived in there. The shower had hair and dirt all over it. We didn’t even stay at the hotel. We checked in and returned the key after we saw the condition of the room and stayed elsewhere. I will never be dealing with this hotel or chain of hotels ever again. It was absolutely disgusting.

Pro vs Con For a Tuesday night, it was pretty active police-wise, as they were at the hotel, taking care of a "problem." Good thing! :) Early next morning there were two emergency vehicles here. :( Cons: As a former janitorial business owner, the cleaning staff needs training. The room needs detailing, as there is built up dust on baseboards, in corners, behind furniture and bed, cobwebs on wall, door jambs, doors, and other places had dirty fingerprints and splashes from something. It only takes an extra 10 minutes to clean and sanitize where hands touch! A broom easily sweeps off baseboards and other places where dust collects, like the door panels. Pics provided. Rodeway Inn||||Ventura||||Denied stay because of service dog. Refused refund!||||1035296232||||I am a us marine that has a service dog. We were told to leave because they don't allow pets. I told him it was a disability service dog, (chocolate lab) and he said he didn't care. Even though I was going to my truck to get the card. He kicks us out of the hotel. As for our room, the toilet would not stop running. I had to lift the tank lid and fix the clapper 3X. The door was stuck so you had to spam it to get the inside lock to latch. Black mold around all 3 windows. He would not refund the 3 nights we were not allowed to stay. I will never tell anyone to stay there.
