Rodeway Inn & Suites Fort Jackson

The outside of this motel definitely does not look like the photo. It has not been taken care of and there's trash around the facility. They keep the front door locked so you have to wait for someone to escort you in to check in and out. Service is not very friendly and seems agitated when you have questions. They wouldn't allow us to wait inside the air conditioned lobby when we were waiting for our Uber to take us back to the airport. Not very hospitable.I was actually pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was however, there were only three pillows and no extra blanket. Good thing the AC worked, but it sounded like a plane taking off every time it would kick on. The bed was comfy. It is located within walking distance of restaurants and shops.

Well when we first got to the Hotel at 6:50pm, the front doors were locked and we had to ring the bell several times before someone came to the door. We have never stayed at a Hotel where they keep the front doors locked! Then the Ice machine was out of order and the person I spoke to said "I did not know this, I will report it", there was no notice or floor plan in the room where if even there was an Ice machine. We asked about the breakfast and coffee and we were told that it was available from 6 am to 9am, we went to get a cup of coffee at 7:20 am, again the front doors were locked, after ringing the bell several times, a man appeared and had to unlock several locks to open the door. This is a standard, clean, comfortable place to stay at a standard price. The room, service, and location were exactly as I expected they would be. The staff was friendly and helpful while I was in a tricky spot. I would recommend this room to anyone driving through Columbia because the location is perfect for an overnight rest and convenient to some food and shopping. The hotel manager complimented my moustache a couple times which was very satisfying. A good time all around.

I arrived at this hotel yesterday and the owner Mr. Patel was very kind and professional. I'm a talker and he welcomed the short chit-chat I initiated. I like this because it makes me feel like they care about their guests and not just taking their money. The beds were clean, comfortable and neat. No dust or dirt on the floor. I didn't see a single bug or pest. The room smelled lovely. The microwave, sink, fridge, bathtub and toilet were spotless. These areas are very important to me when deciding to stay at a hotel. The only issue we ran into was my dogs. I didn't see the sign for "NO PETS". I thought he saw me walk my dog but he did not. When he realized I had my fur babies he understandibly asked that I checkout. As a businessman he has to be concerned for other guests that might stay i
