Rockport Inn & Suites

This is not a hotel and is definitely a motel. We are here for the night because my son has a wrestling tournament in town. It took 20 minutes for the front desk to greet us. The room cost $140 pre-booked and there is a $100 incidental fee. I had to get into my car and drive to our room. There is only one ice machine in the main hotel. They give you sample size toiletries. The room smells like a basement. There is nothing up to date so don’t expect to plug a USB or C charger in anywhere. I booked a double Queen and the front desk asked me if I would still need the other bed. There is nothing even a blow dryer in the room and the microwave is turn-key. I have stayed in better hotels for less.

Positive: "" Negative: The photos to do not depict the action condition of the hotel and the breakfast is not really breakfast. If it were not for the location, not sure how this type of hotel even would survive. Staff at front desk was not really interested in anything.

We were disappointed to discover that the Google page indicated the presence of a hot tub, yet upon arrival, the designated area only featured a pool even when it said pool and spa, with no hot tub available. This particular amenity was something we had been anticipating. Do not take room 308, we had this room. It has an electrical box and was ticking all night. Got louder at some points very hard to sleep.

A hidden gem!!!...the lobby was so pretty, clean, nautical theme. Front desk personnel efficient, pleasant. The room was really nice, exceeded my expectations! Fire pit looked fabulous, we did not use it. The grounds were very. nicely maintained. Quiet room and hallway. Pool was fabulous (we went in November so it was not crowded). Location was perfect for us with a car, but you would need to drive to Rockport stores, restaurants. It is only a few minutes away. We chose to eat at a local breakfast nook but the dining area in the Inn looked clean.

Very nice hotel. Clean room, everything worked. Nice lobby with fireplace. Room had good lighting with ample outlets. Good breakfast room with decent options. No bacon or eggs or such. But they make that clear on their website, so no complaints. Very nice indoor pool. Not super-lux, but great for the reasonable price. Only quibble: TV is only old-school cable with all the associated commercials. “Smart” tvs are pretty cheap and let you stream your Netflix and such.
