Addison Choate

We stayed in the Carriage House for Valentine's Day and it was an absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. Marshall is an exceptional host. He sent us a personal welcome video, which immediately set the tone for the stay. The room was spotless and waiting for us with champagne and chocolate-covered pretzels from a local chocolate shop. That thoughtful, personal touch made all the difference. The Carriage House itself is charming, private, and beautifully appointed. Every detail was 5 stars, cleanliness, comfort, ambiance, location. Marshall clearly takes enormous pride in what he does and it shows in every aspect of the experience. If you're to feel genuinely taken care of, look no further.

We enjoyed our late October two night stay at this 19th century, beautifully decorated inn. Some friends had stayed here previously and said it was a really charming BnB. We thought so also. The only disappointment was no breakfast included, but to be fair, it was not confirmed specifically to us via email and it's advertised now without the BnB behind the name (I noticed this later though). The walk is only 3-4 blocks into town for enjoying small eateries, so no big deal and we liked the small town diner breakfasts there, as well as a couple of dinners. The bed and bedding were so comfortable along with reading light on the night stands. Enjoyed the coffee /tea in the room and fridge. The shower is mighty but can be adjusted if you are short. Our winter stay at the Addison Choate Inn was exactly the romantic getaway my husband and I needed. Rockport is so peaceful this time of year, and the inn made it easy to slow down, reconnect, and truly relax. The location could not be better. You are just steps from Motif #1, the harbor, and some of the best little coffee shops and local boutiques in town. It is also a perfect home base for exploring the rest of the North of Boston region, with easy drives to other coastal towns, scenic spots, and charming downtowns. Inside, the inn is incredibly cozy, beautifully maintained, and spotless. The decor feels warm and inviting, with thoughtful design details that make it feel special without being fussy. I like this feeling because sometimes inns might be too fussy and you can't feel at home

This was my first time staying at Addison Choate and it won’t be the last! The gorgeous rooms are thoughtfully decorated and each one is different than the next, the common areas are no different. It’s clear that Courtney and Marshall have poured their hearts into designing the space to make it welcoming for everyone. I stayed in the crows nest room which was flooded with natural light and fun decor. The room had two tv’s in separate spaces, a coffee maker, and a welcome basket with waters, tea, coffee, and other treats. I can’t even begin to tell you how comfortable the beds are! The location, amenities, and cleanliness of this stay will absolutely keep me coming back again and again, thank you for the perfect winter retreat!

The building's interior and exterior were adorable and the furnishings were lovely! Great vibe and easy check in with excellent amenities! Parking was a little difficult but we have no complaints! Can't recommend it enough
