Bearskin Neck Motor Lodge

We had a fantastic stay at Bear Neck Motor Lodge in Rockport, MA! The location couldn’t be better — it’s right on the water, offering beautiful views and a peaceful, coastal atmosphere. Plus, it’s just a short walk to the shops, restaurants, and galleries in town, which made it incredibly convenient for exploring without needing to drive. Our room was clean and cozy, and you can tell the owners take pride in maintaining a welcoming space. The setting is quiet and relaxing — perfect for a getaway. Waking up and being able to walk right along the waterfront or head into town for coffee was such a treat. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Rockport — it’s the best mix of charm, location, and value. This was year three for us andWe’re already looking forward to our next visit!

I didn't know what to expect when i booked the Bearskin Neck Motor Lodge for our first night of our vacation - coming from a long international flight, I was looking for a nice place outside of Boston and an easy access to Gloucester the following morning for the whale watching tour. We had the most pleasant surprise when we arrived at this lovely motel, the room was spacious, everything was clean beds were comfortable as you would expect. But we didn't expect the view from our back door ! what a view! front seat to the beautiful ocean and the sunrise.

Bearskin Neck was amazing! The view was breathtaking! Listening to the waves was so relaxing. The rooms were clean and updated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The motor lodge was in a perfect location. No need to drive anywhere. Restaurants and shops were right there! Definitely worth every penny!

The rooms are clean and come with everything we need for the night. I love the text-based service so there’s no stress in checking in. By far the best part is the view, and on a night like tonight where auroras dance right out our windows, the northern sky is to worth the fee.

The rooms were clean and comfy. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The view is astonishing and falling asleep to the waves breaking on the cliffs is amazing!
