RoadRunner Travelers RV Park

Very clean and quiet RV park. We stayed three nights and met some nice people. The area is part of a dark nights initiative which requests bright lights at a minimum to none so one can view the stars. It was amazing to see all the stars so clearly. The dog park is very clean and stocked with bags and fresh water supply. Everything is gravel and rocks with intermittent cactus displays. There are jumbo Jenga and corn hole games outside as well. You are across from a new dollar general and that was incredibly handy considering the closest real store is in Fort Stockton, 2 1/2 hours away. The national park does not allow dogs but the state park does.

This is our second trip to RoadRunner Travelers and we are full time traveling. We’ve stayed in a lot of places over the last three years and Terlingua is still our favorite place to visit and RoadRunner is our fave place to stay. The skies are dark, excellent views, location is wonderful, convenient to all things. If Bend region. Extremely quiet, clean and they are continuing to add amenities for their guests. The sites are generous and well laid out and aren’t door to door with your neighbor so you have privacy. Our dogs love the large off leash park and the desert walking trails. The sunsets and sunrises are amazing and this trip, we were lucky to catch the Northern Lights and the meteor shower. What a great little park! You can tell the owners really love RV’ers because nothing is left out. From Friendly and quick reservations to the ease in finding our level and groomed site. The plantings are new, but thoughtfully laid out (I love the boulder planters), and the fire rings for each site are inviting a cozy time after the sun goes down behind the nearby mountain range. So picturesque and the prettiest RV park in Terlingua! It’s right across the street from Big Bend adventure outfitters and guides and a store is nearby, too. And the ghost town is a quick trip away. We’ll be back! For sure 👍

Wife and I really enjoyed our stay a Road Runner. Very well-kept park. Awesome location, right next to big bend park. Park as of now does not have showers or laundry. That is in the works. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Great dog park. Plenty of land to walk your dog outside of the dog park. All sites are gravel. Pretty level, had no problems leveling our fifth wheel. I truly believe this is the nicest park in the area. Highly recommend this park for your stay.

We really enjoyed staying at this park! We originally planned for 3 nights but extended to 5! It’s a great location in Terlingua, Texas and is minutes from Big Bend National Park. There are SEVERAL RV Parks in this area. This park opened 5 years ago and is no frills. Owner is on-site in his RV. No office. No restrooms. All guests must be self-enclosed. We picked this park because it does have a nice big dog park! Perfect for our goldens. It really is in the desert so landscaping consists of lots of cactus. This park uses Campspot Reservation System. Great spot to take day trips into the park and to explore the town. Definitely would stay there again!
