Riverside Inn and Suites Hopewell

Booked a room in August, went to check in today in October and they say we don’t have any open rooms! After paying plus a security deposit to secure the room for this week, they pretty much just say we’re out of luck because they have no room! I guess it doesn’t count for anything to make a reservation anymore. Rude staff and the hotel was disgusting. Do not recommend.

I was apprehensive about booking 2 rooms here, but it was close to Hopewell Marina,||where we were supposed to be at 6:00 Friday morning. we were very pleased with the service we received, the cleanliness of the rooms, bed and pillows were very comfortable. very good location, very nice waterfront restaurant The Boathouse just||steps away. Very well-lit parking lot. Any motel is outdated, but the owners do the very best, with what they have. We will stay here again.

I spent a night at the establishment, and these were my impressions: the bed linens appeared as though they had not been washed for months, emitting an unpleasant odor and bearing visible stains. Additionally, there was a significant amount of dust on the headboard. The bathroom, however, was clean. The receptionists seemed distrustful of me, which made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe during my stay. I would not return.

I made a reservation month ago went to check in for a function attending in town. Oh no we have no room for you! Thank you ma'am, had to go search another location! No words left to say!

Objectively, this place is terrible. The rooms are filthy, the tv is grainy, furniture broken and bathrooms gross. However the price (USD70 incl tax when i stayed) is less than half of other hotels with much worse reviews in/around Richmond, and i didn’t see any evidence of bed bugs or roaches. The lady at reception was also very friendly and helpful.
