Holiday Inn Express Hopewell - Fort Lee by IHG

The room was exceptional, everything was well laid out making it very comfortable. I couldn't believe the fantastic breakfast they served. To top it off they texted me when I got to the room to make sure everything was okay and the textred again as we were about to leav, I thought this was a very personal touch.

I was driving back home from Montreal. It was getting late and need to stop for the night. I went on the app and booked my room. When I arrived, I see people standing outside and pitch dark. The front desk lady told me they had lost power due to the storm and couldn’t talk reservation at the time. Very friendly and sweet. Told me she would have to wait till the power was on and she would cancel my reservation for me. Told her thank you and left. I found another hotel when the sweet lady called me back. She told me her boss could check me in from her house if I still wanted me room. Told her I was sorry, I already found another hotel miles down the road. She told me no problem and that her manager would cancel the room. That right there is amazing customer service. I never gave her my numbe

First off I used points for my stay here so I can’t comment on the price. Fast and friendly check-in. The room was pretty big. Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Blackout curtain on the window. Good shower pressure. Safe in room. Quiet. Free breakfast with usual items. Pool was closed. Nice fitness room. Very conveniently located just off 295. There are a handful of food options nearby, and a gas station across the street. My only issue (and it’s a small one) is parking back by the side of the pool was very dark. They could use another light out there on the side. Aside from that the stay was very good.

Everything was great about this hotel, from cleanliness to comfort and friendly staff. The only two things I would mention is if you really need quiet rooms, avoid the rooms in front of the gym. People start slamming the gym door since 6am. And also, my shower had no shower head, it was actually just the hand shower they hung as the shower head. Very low water pressure, so I did not really enjoy my shower time. Otherwise, this is definitely a great value hotel that I would go back and recommend.

Clean hotel, excellent service, great staff. I stayed 3 nights, but didn't have any room service at all. Anyways, I was helped when I needed service. The hotel does not have a Smart TV.
