River Hideout Campground

Perfect place to take a break from the heat of an August road trip. Most of the sites are in the shade. A trail goes down to the waters edge where there's nice grass and shade. The owners are very nice hard workers, doing extensive rebuilding so I can't say what the final services will be when it's completed, but you can't beat the location!

The location is a perfect distance from town and is very quiet. The campground has a few full hookups, some water and electric sites, a clean and nice toilet house, and a playground for kiddos. The owners are working on updating the campground and the aesthetics, so it's not in pristine shape - at least not yet - but they are incredibly accommodating, helpful, and great to work with. The rates were great, and the area is perfect for morning walks or jogs. A little more work and this will be the next "go to" campground for the area, but even now it's a great place.

So glad to see this campground open again! Awesome location! They have lots of work to do to get it back rolling but they have electric and water at sites and rv dump on the way out. There is also a flush toilet available. Great location on the river and awesome sand bottom to wade in. Only 2-3’ at the deepest point. Love this place! Way better being by the river and shade trees than out on a highway and no shade. Looking forward to it being back to its glory!

We loved it! So perfectly named as a hideout. Located at the foot of historic Bryan Bridge, very little traffic out front, and lots of mature shade trees. Beautiful site along the Niobrara to wade , or just watch the sun go down. Great location for a quiet, family oriented stay. Thank you!

This was the perfect weekend get away spot! Even under the renovation phase this campground was so clean and well taken care, and the management was top notch! So helpful to us first timers to the river. Easy river access for the kids to splash around and a fun play area to keep them busy as well. Highly recommend and hope to visit again soon.
