Raine Motel

You have to stay here if traveling to Valentine, NE. The rooms were spacious and clean, a typical older motel. Breakfast is included. What made our stay spectacular were the owners. They were sooo nice. We talked about the flower and vegetable gardens on the grounds and even experienced some Indian cuisine. Like other reviews have stated, not a 5 star, but has its own charm. The owners were the bets.

Maybe make other plans for breakfast. The rooms were squeaky clean. Beds were okay. The AC worked great. But the breakfast left to be desired- there were waffles, which were good, and yogurt, which was fine. But the breakfast burritos (packaged), half of them were moldy. The juice was watery. I wanted to like this place- but we ended up not staying a second night.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL!!! We stayed one night at this motel. We were charged the one night fee. The following day another $200 charge was added to our credit card! We called and were told that additional fee was for a carpet burn. We called them and told them that was not from us. Neither of us has ever smoked and has no way of burning the carpet. They said they would send us pictures. We never received a picture. After numerous calls to this motel, calls that were never returned as they said they would, we were never given a refund of $200. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MOTEL!

Bed was so-so. Somewhat clean. Bathroom floor was a bit tacky. Older motel and new that when I booked it. No opinion on breakfast since it wasn't served until 7 am and we had an earlier departure. Shower head too short (I'm 5'9", hubby is 6'1"). Front desk very friendly. On highway but didn't notice a lot of road noise.
