Rex Motel

Where do I start, as soon as you walk in it smells like raid. Baseboards are dirty as hell through the whole room. The floor is greasy and disgusting. The bed skirt is dirty and gross. The lampshade was not placed on correctly also dirty. The closet had clothes from another guest I'm assuming I dare not touch that to find out. The sheer curtains are shredded. The best part of the stay was the restroom but even that had dirty curtains (see pic) also no shampoo in shower definitely needs power cleaning and upgrades. Don't be fooled by the photos. Glad the stay was just one night. And never again.

Positive: Big bed, cable, nice large bathroom ? Negative: I tried to check in having already paid and booked the stay and arrived after 3 pm and was told to come back in an hour, staff had left ?? ??

I could tell this motel was older when I made my reservation, but the pictures looked like it had been refurbished and there were so many positive reviews that I decided to give it a try. What a mistake! The photos in the ad for this hotel did not reflect what we saw when we entered our room. Compare their photos to the ones I took in our room. It was old (which isn't a problem if it is taken care of) and dirty. I don't stay at fancy hotels; all I want is a clean, comfortable, and safe place to stay. The shower had moldy grout and it was not in a great part of town. Two separate people from Ventura told me homeless people hang out here. My daughter and I were too afraid to stay here so we asked for (and were denied) a refund and told him it was not what was advertised. He acted surprised a

So I had a friend visit for the day from out of town. He decided to get a room out here, in order to hang out around town longer, without the worry of driving back home. Totally last minute. So around 12am we pause our night to go get him checked in. We pull up to this place. ( Which had he told me, I would have let him know. Absolutely not. ) Now all I’m thinking is roaches and bed bugs.😖 But he goes to check himself in. I walk up like two minutes later and my friends looking back at me laughing in disbelief, telling me what’s going on. I look at the worker at the window and he’s with an angry face like “ Yea, I’m sleeping! Do you see what time is it?! “ in an angry tone toward me.
