Residence Inn by Marriott Southington

I can confirm the hallway reeks of weed. My trouble started when we checked inn, I was charged for $494.50 when my confirmation was $448.50. I always get a hard copy of my bill so I can check it before with an actual person before I leave. The girl at the counter couldn't manage it, nor could offer any explanation at all. All she could do was say sorry I understand. Sorry I understand, sorry I understand......useless. Two days later, I'm still trying to get an accurate bill from Marriott. Haven't got an explanation yet, but I got a bill. Unfortunately, the total doesn't give with my CC statement. Still overcharged $120. Don't stay here.

This will be out last visit. The Staff here is friendly and it's a great location BUT the hallways reek of weed and the rooms are starting to look VERY weathered. The beds have broken box springs, mattresses have indentations and are back breakers as well as filthy bathrooms in the rooms. On our last (and final) visit my wife saw toe nail clippings in the carpet. We have stayed here a dozen times over the last few years as this was our go to hotel when visiting family and this marks our last. This place needs a MAJOR renovation in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Me and my family have come here for a long time. I used to call it home from home. We always come up here to spend time with family on holidays and birthdays. Our first night water was leaking into my tub from the second floor. The next morning they moved us to another room the heat was not working. Then they moved us to the second floor. This problem was not Macy's fault or Sarah's Fault. These 2 ladies and a maintenance guy helped me out with something extra for my daughter. These 3 people shoukd be appraised for the great work they did while we were here. They tried hard to keep us happy even with all the problems in the building. These 3 people tried to make things right. The Hotel just need to be up kept and re-newed. Pipes leaking in other rooms, heat not working etc. I wanted to say

If I could give a zero, this place would get it. I booked a reservation and paid for 2 months ago, flying in from Florida for the holidays. We didn’t land until 10 pm and then drive 45 minutes to the hotel only to find out that they didn’t have a room for me but did verify the reservation. They came up with zero solutions and just said that they are sorry. Being a Bonvoy member and a credit card holder of Marriott I find this completely unacceptable. They could of emailed me or called me being that they have all my information but that didn’t happen. OOOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and I will make sure Corporate is notified

Did not stay overnight so I can’t rate the rooms, but my car broke down and Hailey was extremely gracious and helpful while I waited for assistance. She was pleasant and cheerful with everyone who arrived after I did as well
