Days Inn by Wyndham Southington

So the rooms were nice. The location is right off the main highway here. But the point of this review is the EXCEPTIONAL services from the staff. They were wonderful at every point of our stay, and when I accidentally left a sentimental item in the room, Nishi captured it and got it back to me swiftly and with a very friendly conversation. I'm very grateful we stayed here and would recommend them to any traveler.

This is a very aged facility. Air quaility in rooms, halls, lobby will leave you stuffed up, scratchy throat. I experienced a room with stained - multiple stains - in the sheets. Lots of residual dirt on floors - keep you shoes on! Skip breakfast as all is not worth the visit. Tired property - plenty of other hotels to try in the area - avoid this one.

Positive: The staff communicate quite wellFor a quick stay, if you're not looking for anything in particular, I can recommend, otherwise.… Negative: No pool, or hot tub or whirpool like they said on the website. The same breakfast every morning, very limited choice. And what's the idea of changing sheets and towels every three days? And on top of that, the bed kept creaking.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. This is an economy hotel so I wasn’t expecting perfection. However, at midnight I woke up to the sound of a waterfall, which I thought was rain falling outside. Nope. Turned out the people upstairs were showering, and it was pouring through my ceiling. So after midnight, I had to get dressed, go to the front desk to get a new key and move rooms and then unpack again and go back to bed. But that was not the end. I had just unpacked and gotten into bed, when the fire alarm outside my previous room (they moved me three doors down) went off due to the flooding and that woke everyone up on our corridor. The night clerk came down, but did not know how to turn the alarm off – so it was going off for quite a long time. I finally got to sleep aft

I booked a reservation here, but when I arrived, I was told they only accept dogs, not cats. As a cat owner, I find this discriminatory and frustrating. Cats are also emotional support animals, and they deserve the same treatment as dogs. Due to this policy, I had to cancel my reservation and book with another hotel that accepts cats. If you have a cat, don't bother trying to stay here.
