Residence Inn by Marriott Grand Junction

Great stay right by the airport at reasonable pricing. One VERY minor detail is the thin blankets on the bed. You may want an extra, however there is an extra pillow and sort of blanket in the closet. They're happy to get you more. The in room thermostat works great. I'm just a picky fella that likes it cooler with warm blankets. It's great.

I figured for the cost of the room - over $300 a night, the accommodations would be MUCH nicer. The carpets needed to be replaced - at least cleaned. The tables were all chipped up on the edges. My room was above the party area and we had to listen to people until after 1am. There were two of us checking in and they acted like giving us one small bottle of water was a treat. The next night the fire alarm went off and we finally just got our stuff and left the hotel. The alarm never went off. There was one fire truck at the front of the hotel but no one around doing anything so I'm assuming no one knew how to turn off the alarm. Nothing modern as far as phone charging. A pretty shabby experience at a very high price.

All in all a great hotel to be just like home... except more luxury and comfortable. Everything taken care for you and extremely polite and kind staff. I always felt pampered and people were always asking us if we were good and if we needed something additional. We were very well treated and people from the staff we ran into in the hall always greeted us and smiled. A very pleasant stay for me. I loved the bed, the cleanliness of the room, the speed of Internet, the amenities, the front desk service was awesome as well as the shuttle drivers. Everybody was just awesome!

The last time we stayed at this hotel, I gave it a 5 star review all around. The only issue I have with this hotel is with making paying overnight customers pay for daily parking. We stayed two nights and did not fly anywhere and were charged $10 per night for parking. Parking should only be charged for those customers flying away for several days and only have to pay for the nights they do not stay at the hotel. Marriott should do this to maintain their reputation as a classy hotel! I do want to commend the desk staff and the kitchen staff. Everyone we met was helpful, friendly and professional. Great team! The room was also clean, well-appointed and comfrotable!

Almost an empty roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, with no replacement roll. I used the Kleenex after that. Fortunately there were enough in there until I left. No extra blankets provided in the winter, it was cold in there. The thermostat wouldn't go any higher than 67. I had my North Face jacket with me so I put that on top of the bedding until I got warm, then l used it for a pillow. Their pillows are way too thick to be used comfortably. I tried using a couch pillow but that was too hard. The light between the bedroom and bathroom didn't work right either. Sometimes it would go on and other times you'd turn it on and nothing, then about 5 minutes later it would come on.
