Courtyard by Marriott Grand Junction

Was just informed that the airport shuttle stops at 6 PM and I need to pay for a taxi on my own to get to the hotel. I’ve never experienced anything like this at Marriott and find it very discouraging and not the service I would expect in anyway from a company that I hold in such high regards.

The rooms are nice and clean. The beds are comfortable. The pillows are nice and soft. There's plenty of parking. However, there aren't very many television channels, including not having HBO. There is no free breakfast. Note, there is no free breakfast. You will have to pay for it. I guess the days of free breakfasts at the large chain hotels are over. That's unfortunate. Otherwise if you don't mind not having a free breakfast, this is a great place to stay

Love this facility. You have to stay one night its incredibly nice. Even got parking for the vehicle of choice. It's very accommodating. Thank you for having me.

Listen, I am a Marriott lover all day everyday, but this location did not live up to the standard that I believe the brand wants to represent. We arrived at the hotel and the woman at the front desk was STRESSED. Pretty sure she was solo and there was a line so I can see how she could be flustered. She made jokes about there being nothing happy about the happy hour because there aren’t really any “deals.” It was just a bit awkward. Beds were hard, there was no ice to be found on any floor and had to go ask the bistro for some. I will say the view from our room was amazing, that was the highlight. No room service even with onsite place to eat. No big deal but just sharing. DO check out The Bistro as I shared in my review of that spot, it was amazing. Do better Marriott!

Rooms are plain and a little dated with water damage around windows and thin walls. Didn’t freshen up room or towels for second day even though it’s still full rate. Insufficient coffee and cups in room for the two registered room occupants and no complimentary coffee or tea in lobby, only for purchase at the Starbucks. The elevators also sound horrible and operate roughly making it feel unsafe.
