Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Myers Sanibel

Solo traveler this time, but typically a parent of two (5 yo and 7 yo). Needed a room as I made my way south and the location and Residence inn Brand seemed optimal. Arrived at 6, friendly front desk and easy check in. Studio room was well appointment and clean, bed was VERY comfortable. Breakfast was in a spacious and lovely dinning area and although busy was well supervised by staff. I was impressed at how well maintained it was, with coffee even being refilled table side by Daybel (she was working hard, but still had a smile) The location is phenomenal, a 4 minute drive to Sanibel island and similar shorelines. Price was ~$299 (including taxes) and I’d be delighted to bring my family here given the chance. Parking ample and easy, as well as being steps away from a Publix grocery sto

First room was VERY smoky. Not sure how they let that pass inspection. Fortunately, was able to get a new room. The room was in good shape, but had no hair dryer and too few towels. No one at the desk the first time I went down to ask for more towels (since they weren't answering the phone). Thin doors, so hallway noise is very noticeable. Pool music started thumping before 8 am, which is annoying if your room faces the pool. The AC is horrendously loud. Breakfast wasn't great. Charged us for parking even though we didn't have a car (was never asked), but we were able to get the charge taken off. Decent option in the area, but average. 3.5 stars.

This hotel was a great choice! In fact, we stayed here twice in a week and can confirm that both experiences were terrific.||It's in a great location for easy, quick access to Sanibel and Captiva islands. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly — Yvonne checked us in both times and was a joy. Other desk team members were welcoming, smiling, friendly, and helpful.||The rooms were both spotless with comfortable beds.||We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Positive: The staff and the breakfast! Negative: It was not very clean. The floors in my room needed to be cleaned better. There were some hairs in the bathroom. In the common areas, dirt on window ledges.

Hats off to Jocelyn for her outstanding customer service. We had a small problem with noseeums. Jocelyn came up to our room to try and alleviate the situation. She was extremely friendly and pleasant. She cleaned the counters as well as the bathrooms. When we returned we discovered that she had the carpets steam cleaned as well. Thank you Jocelyn for everything you did! No question you must be a valued member of the Marriott staff.
