Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas Lewisville

Positive: Front desk lady was amazing. Enjoyed the water pressure and how hot it got. Negative: Pool was closed in the middle of June! Elevator was hot. They were doing renovations, but not noted on website at the time.

The staff at this location did a great job! Very friendly and accommodating! The breakfast person was sweet and they had a good selection. They are renovating this hotel which is why you can get a low rate compared to other similar hotels. They will eventually be a lot better but they were perfectly located and we were in a newly renovated room and it’s so much nicer. Too bad they can’t just shut down for a month and just finish the whole thing.

This hotel is gross and in disrepair. The walls are pealing, the room is dirty, and it appears they started to renovate the room and stopped mid-way. The pool is closed and disgusting. The workout facility is truly the worst I've ever seen at a hotel.||There are four other Marriott properties all within a quarter mile. My colleagues stayed at the Courtyard and said it was great.

This place is disgusting. Our first room had an entry door that did not lock, and we got moved to another room that had sewer ventilation backing up into the room. It smelled so bad we couldn't sleep. The whole place was falling apart. The subfloors were un-even, none of the doors shut; and the "remodel" was done poorly. Very bad craftsmanship. Breakfast was lame, all the furniture in the lobby was torn up, and mold and filth was everywhere. The pool was green and stacked with trash. I'm amazed this building is still standing, let alone in business. Do not stay here.

The elevator in this hotel will kill or seriously injure someone some day. I generally try to reserve negative reviews, but when I feel this one needs to get out there. My first trip up the elevator to the 3rd floor was with the manager, who assisted in helping me with my luggage wagon, lifting it over carpet that was being replaced. New carpet was a positive sign. However, as soon as the doors shut, it sounded like someone began hammering on the outside of the walls, then as the elevator reached the 3rd floor, it stopped, then DROPPED about a foot. I got wide-eyed and looked at the manager and her response was “This is normal”. I retorted that this is certainly NOT normal, grabbed my wagon quickly and went on to my room.
