Residence Inn by Marriott Cedar Rapids South

My family spent the night here the night before Christmas Eve, and it was wonderful . Firstly, the suites are set up perfect for a young child- we had my daughter in the living room and us in the bedroom and it worked exceedingly well! Secondly the staff are absolutely LOVELY. I can not stress enough how amazing they all were. Amy was taking care of breakfast and was so kind to us and our daughter! Lastly the breakfast was delicious. Everything was fresh, hot, and fully stocked at all times! My only point off is that the rooms are a touch worn, but I imagine that comes with allowing pets, and it didn’t bother us a single bit!

I used points for an overnight stay at this hotel. I don’t really understand the negative reviews of this hotel. The room was clean and modern and the hotel was very quiet. Breakfast had a good selection of menu items and was fresh and good. |The only downside to this hotel was the pool is cold and I understand has been in need of repair for some time. |The young lady at check in was not at all welcoming and could care less about your Bonvoy status. Didn’t know that gold elite members could enjoy complimentary upgraded wifi. She suggested I call the internet company. |I would stay here again if I didn’t care about using the pool.

Very nice, brand new, facility. The staff were very pleasant and the room was spacious, comfortable and pleasant. The view was less than optimal and the living area needed a coffee table in front of the couch. The housekeeping staff did not clean the room, make the bed or put out new towels. They checked off that they had done the room when they had not. But, the desk staff were very nice and provided the needed linens. When reported, the housekeeping staff then cleaned the next day. So, it was adequate.

This is a great hotel for long term business travelers. The staff is very friendly and helpful; they go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant and enjoyable.

I have stayed here for several weeks. This hotel is well-maintained, clean, and up to date. The bed is comfortable, and the other furniture is nice to look at. The breakfast bar is top-notch, and the service staff is welcoming. I recommend allowing this place to earn your business.
