Residence Inn by Marriott Augusta

I had such a wonderful stay! The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and in a great location — especially convenient to Doctors Hospital of Augusta and surrounded by plenty of great food options nearby. Being so close to everything in Augusta made the trip easy and stress-free. What truly stood out, though, was Anita. Her hospitality absolutely shined. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment I arrived. It’s rare to encounter someone who takes such pride in making guests feel comfortable and cared for. There may not be a pool or extras, but the level of service more than made up for it. Anita’s kindness and professionalism made the stay exceptional. I would absolutely return because of her.

This hotel is an excellent value for your money. It was clean, quiet, and a great location. The staff went the extra mile with a room change when needed. Breakfast was good. I would probably add a sweet roll of some kind. Fresh fruit was delicious. Coffee was fine but not quite hot enough for us. The room was sizable and it was good to have real furniture to sit on instead of just a desk chair. Internet speed was good. Wish the lobby had coffee available anytime of day. I recommend the hotel!

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a meeting at the Residence Inn. The meeting space was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. Additionally, our group was able to partake in their daily breakfast buffet. This was the highlight of my morning! The buffet features a wide range of options. The oatmeal bar was so unique and delicious! Everyone at the property was kind and engaging. A special thanks to the Area Director of Sales, Laura Kitchens, for hosting us.

The location is convenient. The property is badly dated but in the process of renovation. My first room had something brown splashed on the headboard of the bed. I was then assigned a room on the 3rd floor. After cleaning beneath the head of the bed where there was significant dust, debris, a live silverfish, and I got settled in, I noticed a large stain on the ceiling which would indicate a leak of some type. There was also a musty smell coming from the bathroom. When I spoke to the front desk staff in the morning, I was promised a room on the highest floor (4) when I returned from work that day. When I got back to the hotel, the attendant at the desk told me that she didn’t know who I spoke to but there were no 4th floor rooms available. She offered me another room on the 3rd floor but

Our stay was a while ago so this comes late. However, our experience with Anita was so remarkable that even after a good amount of time has passed, we still cannot forget her kindness. Anita and the hotel staff did an amazing job caring for my wife and I during our stay. She demonstrated the highest level of hospitality and was genuinely so accommodating to whatever we needed. The entire staff was excellent. The only knock is during our time there was construction on the exterior of the building which was noisy and the indoor pool was out of service. The hotel staff have no control over that so that is not on them. Overall, I highly recommend this stay and if you have the chance, meet Anita and introduce yourself. She made our stay awesome!
