Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Covington

Stayed overnight from 29 to 30 January 2026. I redeemed points for this stay, but when I arrived I was asked how I would pay. Luckily, the receptionist was able to locate my reservation. We checked in and was also able to get late check-out. Our room overlooked the parking area and out into the nearby businesses. I liked the layout of the room. It was also clean and comfortable. The room is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator and a 2-burner stove (we didn't use since it was a short stay). There was also a dishwasher we did not use. Complementary breakfast was very good. My experience at the Residence Inn in Covington, Georgia was wonderful! I stayed here for almost a month while my home was under renovation, and the staff made me feel completely at home. The hotel is in a convenient location surrounded by restaurants and gas stations, and less than a mile from the highway. The front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping staff took excellent care of me. My room was always spotless, with fresh towels and washcloths each time. The breakfast did become a bit repetitive after the first week, but it was always hot, fresh, and best of all, I didn’t have to cook it myself! As a Marriott Gold member, I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties, but the experience at this hotel was shockingly unprofessional. My mother, who is disabled, called ahead to confirm a first-floor room due to her mobility needs, and the staff assured her it would be arranged. However, when we arrived at 6 p.m.—three hours after the 3 p.m. check-in time—one of our two connecting rooms wasn’t ready, and the available room was on the fourth floor, ignoring our request. When we raised the issue, one manager (Trinity) even suggested a full refund to go stay elsewhere, which felt dismissive. Given my mother’s disability, waiting around wasn’t feasible. Prepare to have your vehicle broken into if you stay here!!! The hotel itself is new, clean, and nice. The staff was rude throughout the booking process and into the checking in process. Then, we get a call at 4am from the Covington Police that our vehicle had been broken into. Go downstairs to find the back window busted out and things missing from our truck. Two trucks were hit that night. The police informed us that they patrol that area because it keeps happening there. There are no cameras except at the entrances so good luck.

Stayed here twice for business and the property was clean with super friendly and attentive staff. Rooms are huge and the shower pressure was... unreal!! Nice job to management here!
