Customer Reviews
I have been here for cocktails, mocktails on my end, and for an event in one of their conference rooms. Both times I was impressed by the staff and decor. The place is spotless and beautiful. It fits in with the local historical feel, but has all the modern conveniences and luxury. The valet service was also excellent and very quick and efficient despite it being very busy. I had a salad and tried a few other apps with my friends and they were all excellent. I haven’t had the luxury of staying at the hotel as a guest, as I am local, but I would expect the room experience to be on par with the rest of the hotel.
We had two rooms for my wife and her parents and greatly enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday. We had a great friendly reception when we arrived, helping me coordinate the second room under my reservation. The rooms were very cozy and comfortable beds. They had a special Thanksgiving Breakfast Buffet for guests, while the restaurant prepped for their Thanksgiving Dinner. The breakfast options on Friday morning was their normal delicious options. They valet parking service was top notch and quick to help you get your items to and from your car or bring it up to head out for the day. The hotel is located right on the edge of historic downtown and all they key sites are nearby. They are a big part of the light shows of the Night of Lights and the did a great job decorating the lobby and b
It was our first time staying at the Renaissance Historic Downtown Hotel. As we pulled in, we were Approached by the valet, who was very polite and kind. We walked into the lobby side door in immediately. There was a very pleasant and refreshing smell throughout the hotel. We immediately began to notice the decor which was very unique and impressive. As we approached the front desk to check in, the receptionist who was a young man, was very prompt and polite, and willing to share information about the area. As we went up to our room, we couldn’t help but notice the beautiful decor as well as how clean the environment was. I have been in the commercial cleaning business for over 30 years and pay attention to detail. As we opened our room, we were very impressed once again with how clean the
An absolutely gorgeous and quaint hotel! It feels intimate compared to larger properties, which we really loved, yet it also feels recently refurbished—clean, modern, and thoughtfully updated while still maintaining a historic charm. Honestly, it could have been built in 1818 or 2018, and I’d believe either in the best possible way. The location was perfect: about a five-minute walk to the edge of St. George Street, eight minutes to the fort, and roughly fifteen minutes to the Fountain of Youth. We parked our car upon arrival and walked everywhere all weekend, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We also dined at Castillo and had a lovely evening there. As Marriott Gold members who have stayed at many Marriott properties over the years, this was easily one of our favorites. Whenever
To start, the car valet is very efficient and didn't scratch my car which was a concern with valet parking. By text, we called for our car pickup and they were there. Upon checking in with McKenna, she was the most understanding and she explained everything to us about the hotel and activities. Job well done McKenna. The room we used was rather large, large bathroom, comfortable bedding, effective air conditioning and quiet. The only improvement would be better lighting. The bulbs were dim regarding the indirect lights. The bedside lights were harshly bright. Very good location, walkable to most restaurants and shops. Not centrally located though. Very modern and clean.
