Relax Inn Cape Cod - West Yarmouth/Hyannis

Absolutely the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. My husband and I come to the Cape every year and I will be sure to never stay here again. Do not stay here with children. Upon checking in and entering the room there was an empty drug bag on the floor. I am not someone who likes to write bad reviews and the owners were very pleasant. I used to work Front Desk at a hotel however and I know how one should operate and be maintained and I could not believe the state of the room when I checked in. We stayed Fourth of July weekend as that is our anniversary and the room rate was not cheap by any means. The stay was so disappointing. Room clean in appearance but not well lit. Slightly musty odor, windows very thin so road noise and airport noise might be a bother. I was fine with it. I wore slippers at all times, bed was okay. Based upon 2 level motel design of the 50s.

Guy who owns it is pretty nice guy. Rooms are older and it's cheaper than big commercial hotels in Cape cod. If on a budget. I recommend this place.

Our room size was as expected- just what we needed/wanted. Renovations seemed to be on going in many of the rooms and the parking lot was a mess of scattered rugs the first day but was cleaned up the next day. Our room was clean and comfortable although the shower was just ok..getting and keeping a nice temperature was off and on. It wasn’t very updated. The room was big enough to accommodate our family of 5 although the set up was a little weird with the TV being across the room instead of in front of two beds. Just made it awkward to watch tv from my bed spot. Not a huge deal. Pool was a nice temperature- warm but refreshing. Parking was a little difficult but we always found a spot. Check out was weird.. I give my highest recommendation and most heartfelt thanks to the owners and management of Relax Inn in Yarmouth, Cape Cod, Mass. Even though I did not get to stay there. Why? I reserved and paid in advance for a non refundable one-day stay, en route to a camping vacation on the Cape. Making good time and expecting to arrive before dark on a Sunday afternoon, I got a flat tire in Somerset, Mass. Had to wait until Monday morning for road service on my Tesla (which comes without any spare). Had to stay overnight in Somerset instead. After hearing my sob story, they graciously refunded the cost of my room with no penalty.
