Regency Inn & Suites By OYO Bay City TX

There no policy stating you have to pay a security deposit any where on paperwork or in the building signage.Then it says you'll pay $10 on a poster for any extra guest i quote ( a guest is someone who steps foot inside your room) then on the paper you sign it says $15 so which is it? We had an event at the fair grounds and my sister n daughter couldn't even come to the room because I only booked it for 2 ppl.which is crazy never have any other hotel or motel I stayed in did that. Then when questioned Peter who I'm guessing is the manager seemed annoyed and gonna state we changed our policy after covid and every Regency is ran and operated differently. DONT STAY HERE THEY ARE RIP OFFS. Clean the room when they get ready and charge whatever they feel like. The owner says they don’t prorate so I can’t get my money back from days that I don’t stay.

I would give them a no star at all... I stayed there 4 weeks paying weekly... I was told if I left before my weekly stay the days left would be refunded.... but apparently they dont... I payed on a Sunday for weekly... but my job was over Tuesdays... so I checked out at 9am..(checkout is at 11am) and was thought be refunded the remainder of the weekly days... but they said they wouldn't... cuz it was a weekly rate... I get it ... weekly rates are cheaper...but if I was charged regular day rates I would have at least gotten some of my $ back...but they wouldn't ... so just to let u all know... this will happen to you if you check out early on a weekly pay... i would never go back!!!!!!!!

Wifi doesnt work in rooms we stayed 3 nights and it never worked only works near front office,not allowed to smoke outside not even in your vehicle or far from the room,constantly being checked by owners even if your outside their just watching you walking around,made up a fee to charge for our kids in our last night stay and locked us out at night until we paid the fee they made up (we had no choice but to pay because my kids stuff and personal things were in the room) threaten us with calling the cops to see if the room was left clean so they could return us our deposit.. never again horrible experience and not a good person the owner/manager with glasses. & the room smelled funky.

some other employees I work with went to stay at another hotel but they didn't have hot water or there were huge half a** patched holes in the ceilings. This one has hot water. The Prices are cheap and the employees are nice. The room is quite large with a fridge, microwave and a pretty good size TV. The beds are pretty soft, the AC works Great once the room is Cooled. The cleaning services are good as well but I prefer to keep my room clean and take out my own trash.
