Regency Inn and Suites New London , Mystic

My daughter had a cheer competition at the Foxwoods casino. We originally booked a hotel with the rest of the team at the Hyatt for $250 a night, for 2 nights it was over $500. I found this hotel and we could stay for 5 days for $400. This is clearly an older hotel that is in the process of being updated, but the value for the price is excellent. The pool was open and heated; however, the room itself was quite cold, so I found myself wearing a winter jacket while my child happily swam. Even so, I really have no complaints. The staff was friendly, and the hotel has an on-site bar and restaurant with good food at reasonable prices. You definitely get what you pay for here—and honestly, a bit more. The motel is a nice place to stay and it's a quiet place with not much drama going on.. The staff is really good and polite and friendly and always looking to help out. The house keeper's are excellent and there is that one staff member Ash goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is the most pleasant possible.. Weeney also is a great staff member and I give them all 4 stars.

The Regency Inn is definitely not a place I will ever go again. It was dirty and the pillows were ridiculously small like accent pillows on a sofa. There was no water temperature regulation in the bathroom. The hot water was close to boiling temperature. Very noisy all through out the night inside and outside.

So strange.... Before I get into it, I want to point out that it seems like they have a bunch of reviews written by an AI, people pushed into writing them, or some company. You can see certain patterns in these kinds of mass generated reviews. Anyway, I am a repeat customer, but issue after issue. First time I was there they pushed me hard to try to do a review, then they tried to charge me for water, which is not allowed in Connecticut at a restaurant in CT. There was also one of the longest wait times I've had to order the food, and the wait time was significant even after ordering. Next few times no one was there during regular hours. Today I was leaving after receiving it, when I went the wrong way looking for the exit closest to where I parked. When I saw there was no exit ther
