you’re looking for a peaceful getaway near Mystic, keep driving — preferably fast. Despite the name, this hotel is nowhere near Mystic and much closer to something out of a low-budget horror movie.||||The walls are so thin you’ll enjoy a surround-sound performance of your neighbors’ every movement, conversation, and bodily function. It’s like living inside a paper bag during a chili cook-off.||||Step into the stairwell, and you’ll find a thriving nightlife scene — a mix of crack smoke, questionable business transactions, and enough cigarette haze to qualify as weather. The “security system” appears to consist of the owners eavesdropping on guests through the doors and responding with knocks or police threats if you dare to have visitors.||||The mattresses are as forgiving as a sheet of ply

Positive: NOTHING! This was the most disgusting vile motel we have ever stayed at! It was dirty, smelled & nothing worked. I always try to make the best of a bad situation but nothing could fix this disaster. My instincts told me to leave and I wish we would have! Negative: EVERYTHING!! DO NOT BOOK HERE - The icing on the cake was when we were on the ferry and we found our snacks had been eaten and there were mouse/rat droppings at the bottom of the bag!

Room was clean but definitely needs some work. Bathroom door closes but won't lock, front door only closes if you push hard on it. All outlets are loose so the lamp lights would flicker, and it was hard to charge some items. Wi-Fi was incredibly slow. Anytime we cooked it would set of the smoke detector, so we ended up going out to eat more than we wanted to. Plus our fridge was unusable. The freezer was packed full of ice and even when set to a low cooling number, froze all our food. The staff was friendly but when issues were brought to their attention, they seemed confused. It was better than sleeping on the street, I just expected a little more.

I was spending time in Mystic, and I thought I would get an economy place not too far, to spend the night. My first impression was that the place was a little beaten up on the outside, and there was a suspicious guy walking around the parking lot that kept staring at me as I sat in my car. He was young, thin, and creepy. I have a nice car and thought twice about keeping it in the lot, frankly. I parked it near the street, close to a light, hoping it would not be molested. The inn keeper had no affect but was polite. My room was average to below average. It had no carpeting but had the features of a kitchen, bath, and bed, and again, it was a tad beaten up. I booked on a booking site. Nowhere on the booking site does it say they charge you a one hundred dollar deposit. ($100 DEPOSIT) The deposit if charged by card can take up to five days to come back. Cool but say it loud and proud on the booking site not a hidden fee that people might not have upon entrance. For my $170 and change I got a king size bed a kitchenette with foil under the eyes , and no pans to cook with any way, a microwave , refrigerator , a desk , the television is an old LG model and is not facing the bed but it’s okay too. The bath tub is the best feature cause it has two ledges maybe two seats who knows and a grab bar. The water is hot and every counter shines .
