Red Roof Inn & Suites Dover Downtown

We were only there for the night but our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was spotless and the room had no funky odors like in past reviews. It was in an area with lots of choices for eating and was easy to get on and off the highway. It was fairly quiet and for a pet friendly hotel I never heard a bark. The breakfast was okay, basically muffins and yoghurt. It had what we needed. Clean quiet room and light breakfast!

As a value motel, this place delivers the basics: comfortable beds (not the pillows though), functioning AC & Internet, good TV & fair breakfast, competent staff, and low price point.||As with practically all value motels, however, rating could improve with fresh paint, new carpet, an egg option for breakfast (how tough are hard boiled eggs?), and renovated bathrooms.

Man, everything about this place has an odor. The area outside smells of weed and garbage. The hallways smell of urinal cakes and curry. The room itself smelled of poop. The room floors are those low quality roll on linoleum that sticks to your feet. The bed was hard and unfortunately loud, like the springs were popping constantly. The sheets were clean, surprisingly. At least the air conditioner worked. I'd rather pay 120+ for a Holiday Inn.

Horrible hospitality. Don’t get excited about the breakfast included. Their breakfast was : bread, bagel, cinnamon rolls, mini blueberry muffins, apples , oranges, yogurt, instant oatmeal packets, coffee, apple juice, orange juice, 2 cereal options ( Frosted Flakes , Cheerios) . At 11:05 they sent staff to our door while we were packing telling us it was check out time. At 11:10 the front desk staff was calling my phone to tell me the same thing. The tub in the bathroom at the base was damaged and looked disgusting. I will never stay here again.
