Red Roof Inn Suffolk

We stayed here while traveling to Norfolk for our cruise. We stayed on the second floor which had an odd smell. The sign at the front desk that clearly stated “no marijuana” obviously wasn’t enforced as the whole place smelled like a family of skunks having a party. During the night, the fire alarm went off TWICE (I’m assuming due to everyone smoking pot). The fire alarm then went off a THIRD time while we were getting ready to leave. As we were exiting our room someone had graciously puked down the entire hallway (again assuming someone got the munchies & upchucked on the way back to their room). Nothing like tip toeing with luggage around vomit. We go check out & the fire department was asking to speak with the manager as this was the 3rd time they had been at this hotel in less than 12

This place is awful! They should be ashamed of themselves for charging 90 a nite to stay in a dump like this. The smell will knock you backwards as soon as you walk in the front door, the room was sickening. It was dirty and had stained dingy sheets as well as filth and grime in the corners and under/behind everything. Not to mention the pubic hair that was left in the bathroom floor and on the bottom of the toilet. I am furious and will not NEVER EVER EVER again stay in a Red Roof no matter where or anything else I swear to God above we will sleep in my truck first. I tried to cancel as soon as we walked in but they told me I would be charged anyway since I didnt cancel 24 hours before my reservation. But I was MISLED on the garbage websites and thought I was renting a decent room. Unreal

Positive: View easy access to fastfood wal mart everything is walking distance Negative: No network channels

We had a breakdown and had to stay an extra night. The room was clean w/a pleasant aroma. My only complaints were that the floor of the tub was so slippery I fell and the room, hvac needs replaced and a general refresh. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive. Also, the view of the river was spectacular.

Visiting from out of state and stayed here for my wedding anniversary. It was a very pleasant stay! I have since booked twice and would recommend this location to anyone who wishes to stay in Suffolk for their travels.
