Courtyard by Marriott Suffolk Chesapeake

The location was perfect. It was near everywhere we neeeed to go. The front desk lady was nice. I can’t recall her name. I asked for restaurant recommendations and she asked another staff member for me. Both of them were very helpful. The room was a good size and it was clean. If I return to the Suffolk area, I would stay there again.

Very clean! Rooms are tight with not much flat space to place personal effects. Bed is fine, pillows are not supportive, but there's plenty to choose from, and sheets are pretty good. There are zero USB outlets for charging unless you use the TV while it's on. Good sized bathroom.

The Courtyard was extremely clean and very nice. The bathroom was very handicap friendly. I had knee replacement and that made a very big difference. Everyone was very friendly and hospitable. Pets were not allowed and I liked that because I am very allergic to animals. Within 5 minutes to the surgery center. Would highly recommend this hotel.

BED BUGS! I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks in room 202 in November 2025. The room I stayed in had bed bugs and the bite marks did not appear until the day I was checking out unfortunately. I called the hotel several times over the next 3 weeks and spoke with employees that said they would have the manager call me back. I never received a call back and had to always initiate the calls. I even posted a complaint on Marriott's site explaining the situation and only had an email that said they would look into the issue. Again, I have never heard back from anybody from this hotel or from Marriott. I had to throw out my suitcase along with my clothes. I had to pay for an exterminator for my house. It makes me upset that I was never contacted.

It was very pleasant ☺ updated facility and very clean. Enjoyed the staff well represented. The rooms were very nice and efficient. The mini fridge and microwave was a plus. I would go there again.
