They should allow a negative star rating. Where oh where to begin? My husband and I travel for work and we were on our way home for Thanksgiving week. We had about a 21 hr drive so this hotel was our halfway home stopping point. First thing I noticed was the smell in the lobby. We get to our room and the room smelled even worse of straight mold and mildew. Went to go pee and the bathroom floor had a giant puddle of water in between the tub and toilet not to mention the toilet was completely crooked. Not slightly. Very crooked. I thought, eh, this place is a dump but hey it's only one night and I just wanna sleep. Fast forward to me waking up at 10:45pm can't stop itching, I turn on the light and what do I see? BEDBUGS!!!!! I had to take my husband up, tried to call the front desk but the p

I had reserved a room over the phone and was clearly told that late check-in at 1:00 AM would be fine. However, when I arrived at the hotel at that time, no one was present at the front desk. I rang the bell multiple times and waited for about 45 minutes, but no one came. I also tried calling the hotel phone number, but it was out of service. After a long journey, being left outside at 1 AM with no response and no support was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. If late check-in is not actually supported, this should be communicated honestly at the time of reservation. This experience shows a lack of professionalism and reliability. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for travelers arriving late at night.

The hotel’s exterior is run-down, and the hallways smelled strongly of marijuana. While my 80-year-old mom and I were carrying luggage to our room, a person wandering the halls approached us and asked to borrow a smoke, which felt unsafe and uncomfortable. Our original room’s heater then malfunctioned, filling the room with smoke and setting off the fire alarm. We were moved to a downstairs room, but the refrigerator there was also broken and had to be replaced. The property overall needs serious maintenance. An old Shoney’s restaurant next door was boarded up, and it seemed only one building of the hotel was open. The location—just across the bridge and about an eight-minute drive to Baton Rouge—is the only positive. However, ongoing bridge construction and traffic made access challengin

I checked in late last night and overlooked the strong mildew smell in the building that was bad enough to give me a headache, along with a toilet that wasn’t flushing properly, because I was tired and just needed to sleep. The next morning, I went to the front desk to report that the toilet still wasn’t flushing. Instead of offering maintenance, the front desk worker told me he would “hand me a plunger.” Confused, I asked what for, and he said to unclog the toilet. I was shocked — I’m a paying guest, not an employee. When I told him I would not be fixing their toilet, he responded that if I “broke it,” he could hand me a plunger. At that point it felt like he was asking me to fix it myself. The situation escalated into him raising his voice and arguing with me. When I asked to speak to
