Hampton Inn & Suites Baton Rouge/Port Allen

We checked in yesterday after a month long vacation in Panama City Beach. We are long time Hilton members. The girl working at the desk was very rude . Not welcoming at all . We check in via our phone . I wanted a key because we work out in the morning. So I came back to the desk and asked for a key and she rolled her eyes and had to finish her conversation on her phone😂 Our room was very dirty and in bad need of repair.Ac was broke , toilet didn’t flush good, shower curtain had a bad stain. Carpet dirty and stained. But the worst part is we saw a drug deal in the hall. That scared me 🙏

DANGEROUS HOTEL - Do Not Stay Here! During a two night stay, there were four false fire alarms triggered during the night. Not only is that completely unsafe to have a faulty fire alarm system, but loosing sleep, which is the entire point of a hotel, is completely unacceptable. I later learned from co-workers that this isn't this first time this has happened. Additionally, at least one of the elevators shakes terribly when reaching a floor as if it's going to give out. Given the condition of the alarm system, I definitely don't trust it. One of the morning staff was also always having a conversation on their phone and not manning the front counter while standing in the main doors leading out of the hotel. It upsets me to have had an experience as such. I wish I could give this place zero stars. What started as an amazing trip [I was visiting Br for a hair summit] quickly became a nightmare. Upon getting to the hotel at 9:01 pm Saturday it was smooth, Maxine was polite and professional. I went upstairs took a quick video of the room and we left because I wanted to get something to eat before everyone in the area was closed. We came back late and barely slept because we needed to prepare for the summit. We used the ironing board and noticed an extra blanket or pillow in the closet which was stained red/brown spot. That should have been my sign to thoroughly inspect the room but I was busy getting ready for the event. The next day my boyfriend informed me that some parts of his hands were itch

Room was awful. Shower had mold all over and around the tub. Shower head had mold all around it. Room smelled like mildew. Front desk attendant gave us the key to 2 more rooms and the bathrooms looked the same. Didn’t stay the full two days. The General Manager never called me back and Hilton Honors never responded. Never staying at another Hampton Inn period.

We were on a very stressful and urgent drive toward D.C. and had to pull over around 2 a.m. in Port Allen. At that point we were completely exhausted and on edge – and then came the absolute highlight of the night: the gentleman at the front desk (I think his name was Dan?) was simply fantastic. Friendly, calm, and welcoming – exactly what we needed in that moment. Within minutes, he managed to make us feel at ease. This was actually my very first stay at a Hampton Inn, and I can honestly recommend it. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was included in the price – great value all around. We were so impressed that we booked Hampton Inns again for the next two nights of our trip to D.C. Huge thanks again to Dan at the reception – you turned a stressful night into
