La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Baton Rouge - Port Allen

We checked in at this hotel 1/31/26 after moving our daughter out from her apt while waiting for our car to be picked up and shipped with our 2 cats.We ended up extending our stay due to unexpected delay in car shipping.Mike who was in the front desk, made us feel at home away from home. He was very kind, courteous, welcoming, and went way above and beyond after learning our family’s situation. He offered help and solution with our car shipping dilemma.He granted our request to be on the first floor since we do have a lot of stuff after moving our daughter out from her apt. That alone made our stay experience great. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. Daily breakfast with a wide variety of food is a plus. Mike and the rest of the staff overall made our stay unforgettable. 5 stars

I was kind of iffy staying at La Quinta because of past experiences. But for the price and location I decided to give them a try again. I was pleasantly surprised. You walk in clean. Gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. He got me a room close to the elevator so I didn’t have to walk far. Got into the room, it was spotless and I was speechless. I had an accessible room, and there was a lot of room. Only thing, I wish all hotel rooms would come with some kind of small fan.

This is one of the newer and nicer hotels made by LA Quinta. I stayed at some outdated and not so clean ones. The rooms were spacious and everything was cleaned and there were extra towels in the rooms Usually I would have to ask for more but not here. The hotel looked amazing in the inside. I got two double bed rooms for the price of one. My family and I will be definitely coming back to stay!!!!

Positive: Convenient location to the places we were going. Easy access. However, once on the highway 10, bad location due to bottleneck in traffic every time we wanted to go somewhere. Negative: Bottlenecks on nearby highway. Staff not overly friendly.

The facility's very clean, staff was friendly and quick to help if there was an issue. I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user and my room was spacious with plenty of room to maneuver in my chair. Only detractors were the fact that there should have been a shower chair or non slip mat in the shower, and there was neither. I found out the hard way after I had a nasty fall in the shower. If you book the handicapped room, be sure to look for a mat rolled up next to the towels and call the desk to bring you one before you shower. Better yet, be sure you've booked the walk in shower room. There is a hot breakfast available 6-9am, it's so-so. They allow pets (I've got 2 dogs and it was $25 a day). All in all not a bad stay.
