Red Roof Inn Kokomo

recently changes to a red roof inn from Motel 6. Looks like they are overhauling the entire property. Is still the best budget hotel in Kokomo and will be even better when they complete their renovations. Great front desk staff. Free coffee in the lobby. Rooms are basic right not but for the price you can beat it.

I was on a solo road trip in March 2023 from my home in Michigan to Alabama and decided to spend a night at this Motel 6. When I was searching places in Kokomo to stay at, I decided to go with this Motel 6 because all I was doing, essentially, was sleeping and showering. I didn't need anything fancy and didn't need to spend a lot on the room.||I arrived around 10 p.m. on a Tuesday night. My check-in process was okay, but I had to check in using the window in the vestibule rather than the full lobby (even though I thought I had arrived before the lobby was locked for the night). The woman checking me in was friendly, but she admitted that she was a newer employee and was not fully confident in all the check-in procedures. They denied me service because of a odor they smell in the room and that was a dog eliminator spray because I had my pet in the room but that's fine I won't be going back they will not see any more of my money and I'll be sure to let friends and family know how I was treated

I would recommend this place to stay fair rates and clean rooms and great people that work there

The motel is pretty OK for the price. It's a little run down and the rooms could stand to be cleaned a bit better (bathrooms especially) but the bedding is always clean and the beds comfortable. If you need the WiFi, ask to be close to the office, that's about the only part of the building with good signal. And don't expect to get coffee in the morning. I went down there at 10:50 am- no coffee. I ask the front desk and she says "Yeah, we don't put coffee out until 10am" (which is already silly, imo). So, I said "It's almost 11." She said "Yeah." That was it. Just "yeah". lol She couldn't have cared less.
