Red Roof Inn Knoxville Central - Papermill Road

Though this place is CONVENIENTLY located near a lot of eastern and shops, gas stations and etc...this place is one of those "you get what you pay for" but...I don't feel they should require a $100 deposit on their rooms. They charge too much for what you REALLY get. The rooms are gross. Whole 3rd floor is smoking and it's gross. Even for a smoker it was horrible. The room I stayed in, if I called a city code inspector I'm sure that place would have issues. A level could tell you 🤦🏼‍♀️. Not too mention the coffee maker was gross! I'm glad I looked at it, absolutely disgusting, shower was dirty, electrical outlets looked liked a fire hazard. I should've charged them $100 deposite for shitty uncleanliness. Then they wanted a $75 fee for my Service animal. Service animal are fee exempt. That

Stayed here last night out of late night desperatation. We couldn't drive any further. We got two rooms for the 6 of us. Rooms were on the 3rd floor which was incredibly dingy yellow from what we assume is smoke damages even though all doors said no smoking. One room was fair at best, but the other one was disgusting. Sheets were dirty, it smelled like stale cigarette smoke, and had burn holes in the sheets. We called the desk and he came with a new room. This one didn't smell that way, but was equally dirty Again, .bed sheets stained, cigarette burn holes, and the plow covers were dingy yellow from years of use. Very nasty. Didn't want to put my head on them, but at this point it's near 1am or later. At 5:30-6am the place started to empty out with regulars going to work or something. Door

I had high hopes that this red roof inn would be basic but clean. The entry and lobby was promising. However, the room, what was a different story. Everything in our room was damp in the morning. The air conditioning seemed to do little to remove moisture from the air. In addition, the accompanying picture will show you that one of several globs of hair that bubbled up from our bathroom sink. It was pretty disgusting. The water fountain in the lobby was not functioning. For the price, I expected a basic level of cleanliness and functionality.

Our room was very clean. Very quiet. Smells good. The employee at check in was as nice and sweet as she could be. Nice big Samsung TV. Bathroom was fine. First time at a Red Roof. We would stay again. Plenty of restaurants around but you have to drive. I'm assuming you can get food delivery. Close to UT medical center where we are going.
