Red Roof Inn Detroit - Warren

I have stayed here 3 times so far and the rooms are really nice for the price, especially since I can bring my dog for free. The Management is top notch. I left 4 star for service because two of the front desk people have been severely rude to me and the woman denied me service after I payed. I had to drive 25 more minutes away to stay at the one in SCS. Management apologized about the treatment I received and told me to come back so they can make it right. Positive: I went there bc of my sister. Dresser drawer was broken and stuck into the dresser. The outside door was broken into in the pass and I felt unsafe Negative: I grew up a mile from the area I cant belive what the area looks like after 30 years. Wow. I try to get my money. Back no answer I was only there one hour and left. I hope I get my deposit back

Was told my room would be ready in an hour, so I came back in two hours. When I got my hotel room key, I went to my hotel, but when I opened it, there were people already there and they had the security bar on the door. I told the hotel clerk and she didn't know how they got in there. I decided to leave due to safety concerns. I was promised a refund on July 1st, but it is July 24th and I still have not received my refund. Lots of shady characters were lurking around the property. Trip.com should not have this hotel available if they care about their customers.

This WOULD have been my third stay at this location. I booked my stay online for the first time for today. What should have been a way for me to save time and money ended up being everything but that. You’ll see attached two confirmations of my reservation. One of them stating that I’ve prepaid for the room and I won’t be refunded, which I accepted. Should’ve been a clean and cut transaction, right? You pay in advance to save on your stay and no refund? That’s fine. I think “Alright, everything’s been paid for, all I have to do is go in and grab my key.” WRONG! I go in and they attempt to charge me an EXTRA $50 as a “deposit” that does not go towards the cost of the room. In all actuality, it’s an extra fee that they charge on top of the cost of your stay. NEVER AGAIN! We stayed at this Red Roof Inn a few years ago, and back then it wasn’t that bad, which is why we chose it again. Unfortunately, this time the experience was completely different and deeply disappointing. After a long road trip, our kids were exhausted and we didn’t have the energy or time to look for another place. Still, I regret bringing them here. The room was extremely dirty and felt completely neglected. It honestly felt disrespectful and humiliating to receive accommodation in this condition for the money paid. The bedsheets and towels were stained, dirt was visible everywhere, and the bathroom was so unclean that I didn’t even want to check whether there was any shampoo or shower gel in the dispensers.
