Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Warren

Although I completed mobile check-in, I was still required to stop at the front desk to check in again upon arrival. Despite having status, I wasn’t offered complimentary water as I’ve consistently received at other Marriott properties. The only water available in the room was priced at $6 per bottle — or $9 if refrigerated — which felt excessive. The hotel is tucked away in a parking lot with limited parking, which made access less convenient. The rooms themselves felt dated and not as updated as other Courtyard locations I’ve stayed at. There was also no complimentary breakfast option, and the available breakfast was priced around $15, which felt like an upsell rather than a value. Overall, the experience gave the impression of frequent add-on charges rather than guest-focused hospital

I had such a wonderful stay at the Courtyard Marriott Detroit Warren. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed—their kindness and attentiveness stood out and set the tone for the whole visit. Every interaction was marked by warmth and hospitality, which made the experience feel more personal and memorable. The food was another highlight. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and exceeded expectations—definitely not what you’d expect from your typical hotel dining experience. It truly felt like the team cared about both presentation and flavor. All in all, the combination of exceptional service and amazing food made this stay special. I’ll absolutely be returning the next time I’m in the area.

Huge thanks to Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Warren, and especially Ashley at the front desk. I called close to midnight after another Marriott property refused my stay, and Ashley was kind, professional, and incredibly reassuring. She held a room for me, checked me in quickly, and made sure I was okay. After a long drive and a very stressful situation, her attitude made all the difference. The lobby was clean, the room was comfortable, and the whole check-in felt welcoming and safe. Ashley, thank you for the genuine hospitality. This is how a Marriott should treat guests. Highly recommend this hotel, reliable, caring, and efficient, even late at night.

We stayed here two nights for my nephew's wedding. We were quite pleased with the hotel, staff was friendly, rooms were nice. We were able to visit with other family in the lobby during the day. Our biggest issue is that it's like a maze to find your room or anyone else's. Also, the elevator was way at the end of several hallways!! They do serve breakfast but it's not complimentary, it's actually a bit pricey but it was delicious!!

Positive: The room had access to a patio/balcony that you could easily go out and smoke or whatever. Negative: Building is very old, and toilet was difficult to flush, room door was extremely heavy and difficult to open. No full body mirrors in room.
