Baymont by Wyndham Warren MI

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve stayed in plenty of budget-friendly hotels that still managed to maintain cleanliness and professionalism. This place doesn’t even come close — it feels more like a neglected, dirty motel than a hotel.||From the moment I stepped out of the elevator onto my floor, the smell hit me — a mix of weed and old food (biryani). The carpets were filthy, covered in crumbs, stains, and clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in ages. Entering my room was even worse. The mirrors had fingerprints, the doors had greasy handprints, the bathtub was gross with small hairs, and the bed had stains under the covers. Even the lamps and floor were marked with stains, and I found a hairpin left behind by whoever stayed before me. It was obvious no one had cl

Attentive and friendly front desk staff. Room was clean, and had all the necessary toiletries. No complaints from besides the fact the pool was rather small but that's not the big a problem in the grand scheme. Would stay again.

The room itself was okay. The pillows are nice and fluffy. However there were some nasty stains on the blankets. The temperature in the room is either freezing or roasting and the radiator is very loud. The curtains are sheer and you can not completely block out the parking lot lights which stay on all night. I hope you don’t have many electronics to plug in because outlets are hard to find. The coffee maker in the room was nice to have, but hard to find a place to plug in!||The breakfast was good. Cheese omelettes, sausage, bagels, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juice, hot cocoa. ||The pool area was NASTY. Wet towels littered the floor everywhere. Someone’s hair weave was left on a table. My stay had potential. The cost didn't match the value. There needed to be minor repairs in the room, ineeded to retrieve an additional key for the fitness center and less signing a waiver for partying, guests etc.

I stayed at Best Western Warren during my visit to Detroit. It’s a classic BW—nothing special, but it gets the job done. The room was clean and comfortable, and the stay was hassle-free. The hotel offers free breakfast, though the variety could be better. Overall, a safe and decent choice for the price, but don’t expect anything beyond the basics.
