Red Roof Inn Dayton North Airport

Traveling about 20 times a year I stay in a lot of motels. This motel was perhaps the worst! Immediately upon entering the clearly marked No Smoking room we were overwhelmed with the stench of smoke. We asked for a ‘spray’ of the room but the effect was temporary. All clothing that entered the room smelled. We awoke to no water one of our 4 mornings we stayed. We never had shower soap. The floor was filthy to match the stained bedspread. We had a landline phone in the room minus a connection and receiver cord. We would have enjoyed using the 2 drawers for clothing but the drawers would not open and close without some elbow grease. Not a particularly quiet motel with a visit from police one evening and a fire alarm. I can say that they did allow my 2 dogs (added fee for 2nd dog) to stay in

Major issues - Cockroach infestation - Personnel in office are dishonest - Bath towels are the size of dish towels - Toilets don't work - Rooms are filthy, especially around night stands Details: Traveling through on a 2-week vacation, we wanted to save a little money and try a hotel with outside door. The reviews didn't seem too bad so we tried it. Check-in went well, the attendant was respectful, and I had no issues. Upon entering the room, it smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The bed was presentable, but the bedspread was stained. I checked the bed for bugs like I always do, and thankfully nothing. Then I noticed something moving on the floor. Everything was perfect here. Jess at the frontdesk was really helpful. I have been staying here from long time.. going in and out. They been caring every guest and rooms are really nice as they priced. Like the small dude. Pet friendly, price affordable, good rooms. Hey! Come Chek dis out.

The price is better than the others close by a large margin. The staff is very professional and kind. The location is perfect. The room was great for what I needed. Yes, it shows a little age but it was clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be staying again as needed.

Positive: Location. Negative: Bugs in the rooms. Lots of them. Shower doesn't drain. Door huge gap and no second dead bolt/latch
