I WISH I COULD PUT ZERO STARS!! I had a very disappointing experience with this property. I made a reservation at the Red Roof Inn Columbia Airport location and had difficulty locating the hotel when I arrived in the area. Before giving up and booking another hotel, I attempted to call the property several times for assistance with directions or clarification on the location. Unfortunately, no one answered the phone. Because I could not locate the hotel and was unable to reach anyone for help, I ultimately had to book a different hotel that night and pay a higher rate. When I later contacted the hotel, the manager was extremely rude and dismissive instead of attempting to resolve the issue or show any understanding of the situation. I was simply told the reservation was “non-refundable.

RUN RUN RUN! This was hands down the nastiest, most grimy hotel I have ever booked. Looks nothing in person like it does online. We checked out immediately and did not stay even ONE night. The Red Roof Inn in Columbia, South Carolina should be shut down. From the moment we entered the room, it was clear this place is filthy and uninhabitable. There were visible stains on the bedding, human hair in the sheets, and grime covering the floors and every surface. It was obvious the room had not been cleaned at all. The entire place felt unsafe and unsanitary. This hotel definitely has bugs. Given the condition of the room, that was not even surprising. Positive: Location Negative: Everything but location. Rooms with bugs, toilet leaks. Took in our towels 3 weeks ago and having to go through red tape to get them back. Loud tenants and uncleanly dog owners.

I have never walked into a hotel room and immediately felt the need to leave — until this Red Roof Inn in Columbia, South Carolina. The room was filthy beyond explanation. Every surface was coated in grime, the floors were visibly dirty, and the bedding was stained and littered with human hair. Nothing appeared to have been cleaned between guests. The condition of the room made it clear that basic sanitation is not a priority here. This property has bugs. Given the level of neglect throughout the room, that was not surprising. Furniture, walls, fixtures — all of it was worn down, dirty, and in unacceptable condition. Even the key cards barely functioned, adding to the chaos of an already miserable experience. The photos advertised online are blatantly misleading. What you see in the lis
