Motel 6 West Columbia, SC - Airport

This motel was absolutely the worst. When we arrived, the heater did not work. A staff member came in, banged on the unit a few times, said she would fix it, and never returned. We were then moved to another room, only to find that the hot water in the tub did not work there either. Customer service was extremely rude and completely unaccommodating. When we requested a refund due to these issues, we were told they do not offer refunds. The bathroom was disgusting—hair all over the floor and buildup around the base of the toilet. Overall experience: I do not recommend staying here.

My parents and I were traveling together and stayed here for one night in Dec 2023. The rooms appear to be recently renovated and are very nice. Nice linens, good beds, super clean rooms, no smell! The owner was friendly and eager to help. The motel is on the highway, so get a room in the back if you can. No breakfast, just tea and coffee in the morning. Still, options are limited around Columbia and I was happy with our choice.

Hotel is a little difficult to get to where located. Room smelled like weed as soon as we walked in, and I was traveling with my young son. Tub not clean, beds questionable. But tv and heat is working. And nothing is broken i believe. And I will be worried about my vehicle overnight, as there are people outside being loud and partying right outside our door. Probably wouldn't stay again.

I recently stayed at this hotel but never again. Its basically a "Upscale Homeless Camp". Black Mold in the bathroom, a large hole behind the toilet and worn out furniture just to name a few.(See Photos) The overall vibe was pretty "low class", and unfortunately, there was a strong smell of "dog shit" that lingered throughout the room. The only amenity available was a tiny bar of soap—definitely not enough to make up for the lack of other essentials. I found it manageable as long as you’re prepared to bring your own pillows and blankets. It also wouldn't hurt to have some sanitizing supplies on hand since I definitely gave the room a once-over after checking in.
