Red Roof Inn Ashtabula - Austinburg

I am points customer. Charged me 121.00 including taxes. I complained about the room and they only gave me 15% off. The headboards on the beds had grease marks on the wood like somebody laid against them with greasy hair. The tv had big hand prints on it, there was actually dust on top the coffee maker, no desk chair, chunks of pain off the wall behind the sitting chair, the sink was cracked, there was a big piece of porcelain missing from the tub. When I turned on the shower there was hair in it.

Dealing with Lynne was a very pleasant experience. She was friendly, funny, and attentive, which made the stay even better. The Red Roof Inn in Austinburg, Ohio offers truck parking directly in front of the hotel, with enough space for both trucks and trailers, which is a big plus for drivers. I had no issues at all during my stay. The room was clean, the shower pressure was decent and above average, the housekeepers were friendly, and the AC and heater both worked exactly as they should. The TV had HBO channels as well, if I’m not mistaken. There is a Flying J truck stop directly across the street. It’s within walking distance if you want to order food like pizza, just be careful crossing the intersection. Uber Eats access is easy since drivers can enter through the front of the hotel.

Positive: Location Negative: Our sheets had little black specks all over it. Possibly bed bugs. I tried pulling back all the sheets to look at the mattress, but it was zipped into a mattress cover, which I’ve never seen in a hotel before.

Front desk staff were nice. I rented two rooms and one room was very clean, the tub in the other room was filled with hair and clogged the drain, I cleaned it. Overall it was a nice place to stay with Comfy beds. Dog friendly. I would recommend this place to stay

Service at the front desk was great. Check in was easy and the staff at the desk was very friendly and extremely helpful to deal with. Rooms are clean as well. SARA at the front desk is AMAZING. She is a wealth of knowledge and very friendly. I would return just based on her customer service. Thank you
