Red Lion Inn & Suites Missoula

Positive: The pictures advertising this hotel were misleading and not accurate. This place is a dump, a mess, gross and the rooms were not cleaned . I think they took pictures of a different hotel for the internet pictures of the hotel 20Yrs ago Negative: Dirty, very dirty . Run down . Homeless people hiding in the stairwell. Poor or non existent breakfast. We didn’t stay here . My kids wouldn’t go in the room. We went somewhere else .

Best priced hotel in the area, but very run down. Booked on Booking.com and its nearly impossible to leave a review there so here I am. Rooms very run down, strong smells of mold. Carpet has stains, marks and wasn't even leveled out in areas. Hair that wasn't ours on every towel. Door did not have a deadbolt on it, like it had to have been broken into at one point, didn't even line up to the door frame. Flies in the room, stayed on the ceiling. Someone said this hotel looked like a crime scene and I couldn't agree more. Bed sheets had blood stains, could barely sleep here, was quiet but just so so gross.

Positive: Room was clean. Price was okay and cheaper than the 1-800 number with non-citizen, heavy accent and hard to understand CSR who answered. Negative: The air conditioning noise was atrocious. I couldn't turn it off because room would have been hot & stuffy. This was negative enough to get the ratings I gave you, but it was the ONLY downside.

At the end of an exhausting day of driving we chose this Inn because of the good reviews. The room was so uninviting. The floor was filthy. We had to wear our slippers to keep our feet clean. The beds were made but had obviously been made by different people or at a different time. I don't think I had ever been in a hotel where the bedding didn't match. The bathroom smelled funny. The shower curtain was thrown up over the top of the rod. Towels were folded but scattered about. The ceiling vent fan was gone with exposed wiring. The bathroom paint job was sloppy and on everything than just the walls. It was apparent that there was no pride in providing an inviting room for the night. I've read EVERY REVIEW before I stayed here and I should have kept my money on my card. And "EVERY RESPONSE STARTS OUT WITH 'I'M SORRY WE DROPPED THE BALL..." Well? First and foremost, you hadn't a ball in your hands in the first place, and Second? I was stupid enough to waste my money in a dump. My sister and I have traveled from California via Vladivostok, Russia, and this hotel is worse than a shack. No towels in our room, room was filthy, and I came across a housekeeper named Mike. He cleaned our room to our satisfaction and he didn't care about his other business he had to attend to. Fresh linen, clean sheets and even toilet paper. He truly cared about us and was embarrassed about fixing the issue. He was working the lower extremity rooms and we were blown off Friday for our service.
