The Gibson Mansion

The Gibson Mansion is a remarkable place to stay: quiet and serene in an excellent location (5 minutes from the heart of downtown) with all the amenities you can ask for (they even have Lucky Charms on tap!) The managers are kind, extremely hospitable and always accessible. And the rooms are simple yet spacious. We couldn’t have slept better. Also, if you are working remote there are plenty of spaces to stop and sit and take the mansion’s charm and elegance. It’s honestly the best place my wife and I have stayed in Missoula, and we already look forward to returning.

I really liked the room and the house, unfortunately the main thing that really annoyed me was the housekeeper starting cleaning (very loudly, banging things around constantly, it sounded like she was stomping around, just not even trying to be quiet or considerate at all) very early in the morning. I looked at the clock and it was only 8:10am and it sounded like there was people in the house playing football it was so loud. I tried to fall back asleep, but she only stopped here and there for a few minutes at a time and didn’t stop until I left at 11am. If you want your guests to be accommodated well and have a pleasant stay you should at least make sure you tell your housekeeper with emphasis to be quiet or at least to not be so loud as to wake the guests and not allow them to sleep in th

This stay was extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. I had read glowing reviews about the bed, and they were absolutely true—the mattress and pillows were unbelievably comfortable, ensuring the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. The space was immaculate, thoughtfully prepared, and radiated a sense of care and hospitality. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the complimentary breakfast at either of the charming restaurants across the street was an unexpected delight—absolutely delicious. Every detail felt intentional, every moment memorable. It was truly a five-star experience, worth every penny and more. I will absolutely be returning. If you have the chance, don’t miss a stroll through the gardens or a visit inside the house—it’s a breathtaking

A perfect blend of luxury, history and relaxation. Although my husband gave me some flack because the mansion is farther from the freeway exit than he wanted, that all disappeared after we arrived given the beauty of the place. The gardens, rooms and breakfast were amazing. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch and chatting with other guests over coffee in the kitchen in the morning. Highly recommend.

What a lovely and beautiful piece of history. The rooms are clean, well maintained and charming. There were snacks provided and a cereal bar if guests get peckish, and when I needed assistance getting my room code, both team members were easily reached and friendly. The house is breathtaking, and there’s a meal pass provided to The Breakfast Club which is absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this beautiful place to stay.
