Red Fern Plantation Lodge

We spent the time during hurricane Irma at the Red Fern Plantation and were so well treated. The rooms are small but there is a huge common area with an incredibly well equipped kitchen, TV, games etc.||||Pricilla was amazingly patient as we made reservations and changed them, as so many people were looking for shelter from the storm and changing their plans right and left. The power went out but we were quickly re-estabished on a generator. ||||The lodge is on a long dirt road somewhat out of Statesboro, but there were lots of restaurants and stores (Bi-Lo and WallMart) just a few miles away.||||Our room was small and had no window (which was great as we listened to the hurricane wind and rains).

The owners absolutely go above and beyond to ensure their guests have everything they need. We went up for a family reunion. My mom and I had a small issue trying to get in one night (her phone had died and she had the code) and they returned my call immediately at 11pm! We had managed to get her phone on and get in about 10 seconds before they called back. The place is immaculate and quiet. We had the whole lodge to ourselves. We will absolutely be staying again--and hopefully beinging the fam with us!

Aside from admin at red Fern claiming they didn’t get our reservation they did provide us a room and the most hospitable stay. Very private property and such an eclectic lodge. I sure would go back

Awesome place! We had my sons birthday party there and stayed for a night. it was the best experience! He was able to have a few of his friends stay over and I’m telling you what they had so much to do there! I never heard I’m board! They loved their own room they stayed in. They had their own bed,tv, bathroom!!! We had everything we needed there for our stay!.it actually felt like home. The staff is amazing. They are there for anything you may need or any questions you may have while your there. Highly highly recommend this place. You won’t regret it.

We had our wedding here on May 25th, 2019. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful venue. The grounds and the lodge were well maintained and provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. The rooms were very clean as well as the lodge. The owners were accommodating and the staff were very helpful. We look forward to staying here again and will certainly recommend it to others.
