Ramada by Wyndham Merced

This is a new place— breakfast area is still being built, but we had an excellent overnight stay due to exceptional service by the front desk (Aroceli). Room was clean, quiet and spacious. It lacked some furniture (dresser, under sink cabinet etc), but that was ok for us. They do serve tea/coffee/hot-water in the check-in area 24/7.

After we were checked in and charged for the room as well as the required $50 deposit, we were then told they don’t have breakfast, only water bottles, tea and coffee. There “snack bar” consisted of a few bags of chips and two or three thumped of candy. The “assortment” of beverages available to purchase were 12 oz cans and 3 flavors. We did go to our room and found there was no fridge, no dresser/drawers of any kind for clothing, no coffee machine, not even an ice bucket. When we called to the front desk we were informed that none of the rooms have any of those items as they “just opened 3 months ago”. I was astonished, firstly you have been open for 3 months with nothing that a normal or even roach hotel has and you represent Wyndham??? Since we had already been charged and brought all o

Jasmine at the Desk and her manager Mr. Castro were wonderful humans! When I arrived I had requested a room to be able to keep a watch on my parked vehicle and they switched me so that could happen and were very accommodating. This hotel is under new ownership so they are still working out the kinks. And there is no fridge or microwave in the rooms so you are getting a budget option that is clean, courteous and in a great location for an overnight stay. I would stay here again and only removed one star on the rooms because they are still in the process of upgrading them all.

We stayed here for three nights while visiting Yosemite and really enjoyed our stay. The receptionist and staff were always so friendly, smiling, and checking if we needed anything. There’s 24-hour access to coffee, hot water, and an ice machine by the reception, which was really convenient. Check-in was smooth, and our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and perfect after long days of sightseeing. The only downside is that the walls are quite thin we could hear people walking in the hallway, doors opening and closing, and some noise from the neighboring room. It woke us up a couple of times, though we managed to fall back asleep quickly as we were so tired. It might be a bit challenging for light sleepers, but overall, it’s a great place to stay with plenty of dine

Excellent budget option close to Yosemite. Staff was very friendly despite us arriving after midnight. They honored my request for a quiet room on the top floor, which was much appreciated after a long flight from Europe. The room was clean and recently refurbished. All sorts of fast food options in walking distance, as well as petrol stations and shops. I’m sorry we only stayed one night - next day in Mariposa we got a room for 2x as much money which was significantly worse than this. If visiting Yosemite, a 50% discount on hotel rooms may be worth the additional 30 minuted drive. This motel deserves a high rating as of fall 2025!
