Courtyard by Marriott Merced

Wonderful stay. Location is perfect. Right off freeway and only 45 minutes to Mariposa. Front desk was super nice. Bistro Cafe on-site had amazing food. Rates were very reasonable and my king room was huge, smelled amazing, had comfy bed, soft linens, and was very quiet. Bathroom was huge with nice lighting. Main room needs brighter lights and a 7x wall mirror in bathroom would be a bonus added feature. I like the complimentary shampoo/conditioner pump containers in shower.

There were a few things that I wish were provided such as a a safe box in the room. The promise was clean, the service was very friendly and accommodating, love the fact that you have a restaurant that stays open till 10 and you can get a cocktail. With that said, they need help learning how to mix drinks, and we had breakfast for four, and our breakfast is came at separate time so I believe this is due to lack of help. The rooms were clean, we love that they were connecting, these are just a few things that we feel could be improved. Our overall stay was wonderful. 

Basic hotel. Older & needs remodeling. Loud. You hear the train tracks at night and the cars going through the freeway. The AC is equally as loud. |The shower welcomes you with curtains and a slow drain. Pick your stay wisely.

Pretty good hotel. Service is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and pretty up to date. Nice spacious lobby and gathering area. The bistro has a limited menu, but the food is good. No draft beer, but pretty good selection of bottle beer. Full bar. It would be nice if the gazebo offered more shade from the blistering sun. Also some more comfortable seating. Pool looks nice. Never been in it.

I was there for three days, I had to go into the linen closet on the second floor and get my own sheets every single day to get clean, fitted sheets and top sheets, I never once had anyone come in and did not put up a sign. They charged me a random $30 fee and I still don’t even know what it is. They couldn’t even explain it. The manager, I’m not sure who he was, his name, the general manager, is not a good person. He got upset that I was crying because of an extra $430 fee and another Marriott that was supposed to be canceled. He was saying it wasn’t a good look for the hotel that I was crying? Anyways, I do not recommend this if you want to call a “hotel“
